Be a Tom Ford Gentleman

Tom Ford was on the cover of Another Man, and he shared five tips on how to be a modern gentleman. I totally agree with the five tips, and love all of them except fo the last one. I do love to wear shorts in the city, but not with flip-flops (ewwww) so here they are: 

1. You should put on the best version of yourself when you go out in the world because that is a show of respect to the other people around you.

2. A gentleman today has to work. People who do not work are so boring and are usually bored. You have to be passionate, you have to be engaged and you have to be contributing to the world.

3. Manners are very important and actually knowing when things are appropriate. I always open doors for women, I carry their coat, I make sure that they're walking on the inside of the street. Stand up when people arrive at and leave the dinner table.

4. Don't be pretentious or racist or sexist or judge people by their background.

5. A man should never wear shorts in the city. Flip-flops and shorts in the city are never appropriate. Shorts should only be worn on the tennis court or on the beach.

I guess I am going to try to wear less shorts while in the city ;) .... Hope you found the tips useful :)  

Traducciòn: Tom Ford estuvo en la portada de Another Man, y compartió cinco consejos sobre cómo ser un caballero moderno. Estoy totalmente de acuerdo con los consejos, a excepción del último. Me encanta usar pantalones cortos en la ciudad, pero no con flip-flops (ewwww). Así que aquí están los concejos:

    

1.   Usted debe poner en la mejor versión de si mismo cuando salgas al mundo porque es una muestra de respeto a las otras personas a tu alrededor

2.   Un caballero de hoy tiene que trabajar. Las personas que no trabajan son tan aburridas y están aburridas por lo general. Tienes que ser apasionado, hay que estar comprometidos y hay que contribuir al mundo.

3.   Los modales son muy importantes y en realidad saber cuando las cosas son las adecuadas. Yo siempre abro las puertas para las mujeres, llevo su abrigo, me aseguro de que este caminando en el interior de la calle. Me pongo de pie cuando las personas llegan y cuando dejan la mesa de cenar.

4.   No ser pretenciosos o racistas o sexistas o juzgar a las personas por su origen.

5.   Un hombre nunca debe usar pantalones cortos en la ciudad. Los flip-flop y pantalones cortos en la ciudad nunca son apropiados. Los pantalones cortos sólo deben ser usados en la cancha de tenis o en la playa.

Creo que voy a tratar de usar menos pantalones cortos, mientras que este en la ciudad ;) .... Espero que estos consejos les hayan sido útiles:)
