New York Fashion Week Fall 2011 RECAP

We are onto London Fashion week now (actually have been there for quiet some time … but whatever) .. and I wanted to sum up my favorite shows from NYFW ... I loved tons of them and I had to erase and start this post over so many times .. but I think this one is it .. I really hope you like it.

P.S. I know I am a tad bit late on this whole NYFW ... but I was not home these past days you can read why HERE ... Thanks for bearing with me :)

But enough about that lets get to the issue at hand ... New York Fashion Week !!!! I will be putting my favorite collections up ... and I hope you agree ... the first one being DKNY

Traducciòn: Estamos en la semana de moda de Londres ahora (en realidad han estado ahí por algún tiempo ... pero lo que sea) .. Y yo quería resumir mis colecciones favoritas de la Semana de Moda de Nueva York ... Me encantaron toneladas de ellos y tuve que borrar y empezar este post tantas veces .. Pero creo que éste es el definitivo .. Realmente espero que les guste.

 P.D. Sé que estoy un poco tarde sobre todo esto de la Semana de la Moda de Nueva York ... pero yo no estaba en casa estos días pueden leer por qué AQUI ... Gracias por su paciencia conmigo :)

 Pero ya basta de eso hablemos del tema en cuestión ... la Semana de la Moda de Nueva York !!!! Pondré mis colecciones favoritas ... y espero que estén de acuerdo ...  la primera colección siendo DKNY

I loved this collection ..... I thought it was very young and refreshing, I also loved that it had blacks and whites and some neutrals, but at the end it had great color with the reds and oranges. Up top are some of my favorite looks from the runway, I loved the capes .... And everyone should lust after that peter pan collared black dress it is divine !!!! Great collection I also loved her other Donna Karen collection.

Traducciòn: Me encantó esta colección ..... Pensé que fue muy joven y refrescante, también me encanto que tuviera negros y blancos y algunos colores neutros, pero al final tenía colores frutes como los rojos y naranjas. Arriba están algunos de mis looks favoritos de la colección, me encantaron las capas .... Y todo el mundo debería codiciar ese vestido negro con cuello tipo Peter Pan es divino !!!! Gran colección también ame su otra colección Donna Karen.

I really did love this collection .. it had lots of neutral colors ... well really all of them were neutrals, but still I loved it ….. It was very much a collection for the working woman I think, but still you could wear these outfits to many events, and those gloves ughhhhh they are perfect. Another thing that I noticed was that almost all the outfits had a belt and accentuated the hips .. Which I think looks great. I have read some reviews about this collection and they said that it was a tad boring or that they really didn’t love it, but I do ... I love this collection and I think that any woman that loves to look elegant and great all around whether she is at work or at a restaurant would really appreciate this collection. Don’t worry Donna I fully and completely back this collection :)

Traducciòn: Yo realmente ame esta colección .. Había un montón de colores neutros ... bueno realmente todos ellos eran neutros, pero me encantó ..... Fue una colección para la mujer trabajadora, pero todavía se puede usar estos trajes en muchos otros eventos, y los guantes ughhhhh son perfectos. Otra cosa que noté fue que casi todos los vestidos tenían un cinturón que acentuaba las caderas .. Creo que se ve muy bien. He leído algunos comentarios sobre esta colección y me dicen que es una colección un poco aburrida o que realmente no les gusto, pero a mi me encanto ... Creo que cualquier mujer que ama verse bien e elegante en todo momento ya sea en el trabajo o en un restaurante realmente le encantaría esta colección. No te preocupes Donna, apoyo totalmente a esta colección :)

 OMG !!!! I really had to stop myself from not putting up the whole collection on here ... this collection is perfect !!!! Jason Wu is really climbing on my favorite designer list I loved his Pre Fall collection that you can read about by clicking HERE  …. He really is getting closer and closer to Matthew Williamson ... yes he is #1 ... but back to his collection it was so perfect so lady like which I really love. My favorite look is the last pic ... I love it so !!!! I loved the black and the whites in this collection, also the lace is amazing !!! I think this might be my favorite collection from NYFW !!!!

Traducciòn: OMG !!!! Tuve que detenerme para no poner toda la colección aquí ... esta colección es perfecta !!!! Jason Wu realmente esta subiendo en mi lista de diseñadores favoritos me encantó su colección de Pre Otoño pueden leer lo que pensé sobre ella haciendo clic AQUÍ .... Realmente se acerca más y mas a Matthew Williamson en mi lista de diseñadores favoritos ... sí Matthew Williamson es el # 1 ... pero de vuelta esta colección tan perfecta ... esta colección es muy para dama que me encanta. Mi look favorito es la última foto ... ese outfit esta perfecto para ir a hacer lo que fuera !!!! Me encantó el negro y el blanco en esta colección, también el encaje es increíble !!! Creo que esta podría ser mi colección favorita de la semana de Moda de Nueva York !!!!

When I look at this collection it makes me think of a nerdy girl who really likes math and geometry (which I HATED by the way) yet really likes fashion, and wants to incorporate her passion for geometry with her passion for fashion .... This girl isn’t super glamorous, and would rather wear flats, and not six inch pumps .... (I am crazy I know .. but I love me xD) I don’t know if that’s what the designers were thinking of when they made this collection, but its what it made me think of ... and let me just tell you this that nerdy girl has STYLE !!!! I love the geometric shapes on everything, and I also love the mini skirts over the longer skirts. Even though I am a loyal lover of the six inch pumps they wouldn’t look right in this collection ... Those colored flats make everything really come together .... I had never heard of Preen, but this being their first collection I see .. I like them :)

Traducciòn: Cuando miro a esta colección me hace pensar en una niña ñoña que realmente le gusta las matemáticas y la geometría (que odie por cierto), pero le gusta mucho la moda, y quiere incorporar su pasión por la geometría con su pasión por la moda .... Esta chica no es súper glamurosa, y le gustaría usar mas baletas, que tacones de seis pulgadas .... (estoy loco lo sé .. pero me amo xD) No sé si eso es lo que los diseñadores estaban pensando cuando diseñaron esta colección, pero eso es lo que se me vino a la mente cuando primero vi esta colección ... y permítanme decirles que esta niña ñoña tiene ESTILO !!!! Me encantan las formas geométricas en la colección, y también me encanta las mini faldas sobre las faldas mas largas. A pesar de que soy un amante fiel de tacones de seis pulgadas la verdad es que no se verían bien en esta colección ... Las baletas de color realmente completan la colección .... Yo nunca había oído hablar de Preen, pero al ser ésta su primera colección que veo .. A mi me gusta :)

I also really liked this collection ... I mean even though you might think she is a stylist and now she is trying to do the designer thing ... that’s never going to work ... in this situation it totally did. I mean think about it a stylist has to know the upcoming trends and more importantly what will look good on people ... and this collection does just that. After so many skinny pants you would think I would despise the sight of those flared pants ... but I actually take them as a fresh breath of air .... Maybe she is onto a new trend ... I mean I could see it happening .... And I am liking it already !!! An appluase for Rachel Zoe as a great designer and for new trends ... YaY !!! 

Those are my favorite collections from New York Fashion Week .... I did it in a bit of a rush .. Because I was having a panic attack since I hadn’t written in my blog for such a long time .... I hope you like it and agree with me and if not tell me why ... or if you guys think I missed some collections .... Whatever it is ... you can tell me I would love to hear your opinions :)

Quiero decir, aunque se podría pensar que ella es solo una estilista y ahora está tratando de hacer de diseñadora ... eso nunca va a funcionar ... en esta situación totalmente funciono. Ósea piensen un estilista debe conocer las próximas tendencias y lo más importante, lo que se verá bien en la gente ... y esta colección hace precisamente eso. Después de tantos pantalones pitillo o entubados se podría pensar que odiaría ver esos pantalones acampanados ... pero en realidad los tomo como un soplo de aire fresco .... Tal vez se convierta en una nueva tendencia ... Quiero decir podría pasar.... Y a mi me está gustando !!! Un aplauso para Rachel Zoe como una gran diseñadora y para las nuevas tendencias ... YaY !!!

 Esas son mis colecciones favoritas de la Semana de Moda de Nueva York  .... Hice este post un poco de prisa .. Porque estaba teniendo un ataque de pánico ya que no había escrito en mi blog por tanto tiempo .... Espero que les guste y estén de acuerdo conmigo y si no digan me por qué ... o si piensan que me no puse  algunas colecciones .... Sea lo que sea ... Me pueden decir que me encantaría escuchar sus opiniones :)
