I always like new designers .. becuase sometimes fashion does need a breath of fresh air ... and a new designer to guide .. what the trends are going to be .. and what not .. so .. seven years ago Vouge and the CFDA or Councel of Fashion Designers of Amerca started a fund that is supposed to support up and coming designers ... a couple of months ago from hundreds of finalits Vogue selected ten designers for the 2010 fund .. and Vogue has been following them around and they are making sort of a series with these fashion designers ... they will air a new episode each
week until the winner is revealed in NY in mid november ... so here is the first episode ... and so the adventure starts !!!!

some of the finalist have been designers such as
Proenza Schouler, Alexander Wang, Vena Cava, and
Sophie Theallet ... if you win you will get career-making awards, which provide not only financial support but also mentorship from industry professionals .. so lets hope that the best one wins :)
